The students in Kindergarten through Second grade will learn how to read and perform music notation. Students will perform these rhythms and music notation through body percussion. The students will also work on learning how to perform using a steady beat and improvisation.
The students in Third through Fifth grade will learn how to read and perform music notation. Students will learn how to clap and count rhythms while using the correct music terminology. Students will also learn how to perform using a steady beat, improvisation, and how to look at the world through a musical eye. Finally, these students will learn how to write music notation while including note value and counts in the given rhythm.
